Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 1 3/8 cup water lukewarm
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 4 cups 100% whole wheat pastry flour or regular whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast

Ranch Pizza Sauce

  • 1 cup plain yogurt greek or regular
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp dried chives
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried dill
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp bottled minced garlic

Pizza Toppings

  • 4 cups mozzarella grated
  • 1.5 cups broccoli finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1.5 cup carrot grated
  • 1 cup Black olives sliced
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

Stand Mixer Method for Pizza Dough

  • Add liquids, then dry ingredients to the bowl of a stand mixer. (Take care not to let yeast and salt touch.)
  • Fit mixer with dough hook. Mix on low speed until dough ball forms and cleans the sides of the bowl. (2-5 minutes)
  • (If dough ball is too sticky, add more flour, 1 T at a time. If it is too dry, add more water, 1 T. at a time.)
  • Divide dough in half.
  • Roll each half out into two rimmed baking sheets. (Hint: line the baking sheets with parchment paper first to make clean up easier and prevent the dough from sticking to the pan.)

Mix by Hand Method for pizza dough

  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl with a wooden spoon. As soon as the dough is too tough to stir with a spoon, transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead by hand 10 minutes, or until dough is pliable and doesn't stick to hands.

Pizza Sauce

  • Mix all pizza sauce ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.

Pizza Assembly

  • Preheat oven to 400. Spread sauce evenly over each dough rectangle. Top with mozzarella, veggies, olives, and parmesan cheese. Bake at 400 for 10-14 minutes.
