If you’d like to make your own freezer packs of brown rice to reheat whenever you need them, just follow this blog post.
- 1 cup brown rice uncooked
- 2 cup water
- Combine rice and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Fluff with fork. For sticky rice, soak rice for 15 minutes prior to cooking and increase simmer time to 40 minutes.
- NOTE: Quantities above are for stove top. For Insant Pot, use equal parts water and rice. Close lid, set to sealing, press manual (high), and set to 22 minutes. For sticky rice, use 1.5:1 water to rice.
- Follow instructions on rice cooker and use brown rice setting. For sticky rice, use additional water.
