This homemade taco seasoning is one of the most commonly-used mixes in the 90/10 Nutrition arsenal. It’s easy to make, easy to store, tastes great, costs less than store-bought, and doesn’t include the little-to-be-desired ingredients that often find themselves in commercial mixes.

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Chili Powder
 - 1/3 cup cumin
 - 1 Tbsp garlic powder
 - 1 Tbsp onion powder
 - 1 Tbsp salt
 - 1 tsp oregano
 - 1 tsp paprika
 - 1 tsp pepper
 
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in an airtight container. Store in pantry or freezer.
 - Use as you would any taco seasoning mix. Approximately 1/4 cup equals one commercial packet.
 
Notes
Example use: to make taco meat, combine 1 pound cooked meat with 1 cup water and 1/4 cup taco seasoning mix.  Bring to a simmer.  Simmer 20 min or until thickened.
