Heat butter in a medium skillet. Add onions. Sauté 10-15 minutes or until browned and soft. Set aside.
While onions are cooking, sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. Grill 4-7 minutes per side or until steak has reached desired doneness. Serve onions on top of steak.
Roasted Asparagus
Preheat oven to 400. Cut asparagus into 2 inch pieces. Toss asparagus in oil. Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes or until beginning to brown.
Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Peel potatoes. Cut into large chunks. Place chunks in a medium saucepan. Cover with water. Bring to a boil. Boil 12-18 minutes or until soft. Drain. Add butter and cinnamon, if using. Mash with potato masher, fork, or blender.
