Apple Pie French Toast

Apple Pie Filling
- 8 apple various, see notes
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp dried ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
French Toast
- 6 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 8 slices 100% Whole Grain Bread no high fructose corn syrup
Apple Pie Filling
Preheat oven to 400.
Peel, core, and chop apples. Place in a large bowl. Add oil, honey, and spices. Toss well.
Place in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until apples are soft.
French Toast
Heat skillet or griddle to medium heat. Combine eggs, milk, and cinnamon. Beat well.
Soak each bread slice in egg batter. Cook in skillet 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Top with apple mixture and toasted walnuts.
