or whole wheat flour

or unsweetened almond milk

cheddar cheese
grated

Instructions
Melt butter. Add flour, and whisk until smooth. Slowly add milk. Whisk until smooth and bubbly. Stir in cheese, and stir until melted and smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
