Bourbon Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 package fresh cranberries 12 oz
  • 1/2 cup apple flavored bourbon or apple juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Let boil 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until berries are incorporated and sauce has thickened. Sauce will continue to thicken after cooling.

Notes

For vegan, use pure maple syrup instead of honey.
