The Perfect Steak

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs flank steak
  • 1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Bragg Liquid Aminos
  • 3 Tbsp bottled minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce see notes
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp juice from jalapeno jar

Instructions

To cook immediately

  • Combine all ingredients in a glass dish or large zip top plastic bag. (nothing metal)
  • Let marinate 1 hour or up to 8 hours. (No longer than 8 hours.)
  • Preheat grill to medium heat. Grill steak 4 minutes per side or until it's cooked to desired doneness. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing. Slice into thin slices against the grain.

To freeze

  • Combine all ingredients in a large zip top plastic freezer bag. Freeze.

To cook after freezing

  • Let steak thaw completely in refrigerator. (About 24 hours.) Preheat grill over medium heat. Grill steak 4 minutes per side or until it's cooked to desired doneness. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing. Slice into thin slices against the grain.

Notes

We used The Wizard's brand worcestershire sauce for testing purposes, but any worcestershire sauce with no red tier ingredients is fine.
