Nonna's Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf 100% Whole Wheat French Bread see notes
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter soft
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat broiler. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice bread about 1 inch thick. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Sprinkle with italian seasoning and garlic powder. Broil 2-3 minutes or until edges turn brown.

Notes

If you can't find 100% whole wheat french bread, you can make your own with this recipe, or just use regular 100% whole grain sliced sandwich bread instead.  Sliced sandwich bread won't be as authentic, but it will still be delicious!
